This is a little fan project I've made combining Umamusume with the roblox game Grace! Essentially, I pick umas that represent each of the entities, and then I draw them! I used to primarily submit these to Grace's fanart system, but due to recent events, that will not be happening anymore. As such, I decided to make this page so anyone can see the umafied grace entities! The entities (and sinners) will be shown in the approximate order of when they were decided, since some of the choices influenced others. I will also have little blurbs briefly explaining my reasoning behind why I choose the uma to be the entity/sinner.
Note: if you're seeing this text, the page is unfinished, so just bear with me here
I was originally considering King Halo to be Dozer, since she is THE most prideful uma, but I decided on Opera O because, as you'll see, my choices for Kookoo and Litany were both RTTT characters, so I thought it'd be funny to have Dozer also be one.
First of all, when I started umafying entities, my interpretations for Kookoo and a few others were off. I thought Kookoo represented promises to others, as opposed to escapism. As such, I chose Ayabe to be Kookoo, since she desperately wants to succeed in honor of her dead twin sister.
Curren is manipulative. That's all. (Fun fact, Litany-Curren's design was my favorite until I got to Rue)
I should preface this by saying that Blocker is a joke entity in the grace fandom that came from someone's dream. Anyways, I chose Doto to be blocker because I thought it'd be funny if it was just a giant sheep doto blocking your path.
I don't have a good reason for Air Shakur being the Grace Sinner, besides just that she gives off a "sinner" energy, if that makes sense. This choice also was influenced by my earlier choices all being RTTT characters (especially Shakur's beef with Doto).
In Grace lore, Rue represents someone you've wronged. This immediately made me think of Rice Shower, the uma based off a horse that became infamous for wrecking winning streaks. Fun fact: I hid some symbolism in elements of her design. The chains each having two whole links and one broken one represents the two triples that Rice prevented, and her legs appearing torn reference the fact that the IRL Rice Shower unfortunately died on the track.
First of all, why are there three of them? Well, at first, I thought Doombringers represented rage, so I chose Daiwa Scarlet and Vodka since they're both eternally angry at each other and have a tendency to scream. However, I later found out that Doombringer ACTUALLY represents ignorance to sins committed by others. Agnes Digital seems like a strange choice at first, but my reasoning is in her otaku rules, particularly a career event where she regrets helping Doto out, believing that she should NEVER interact with other umas. She also screams. And explodes.
I have two major reasons for choosing Tachyon to be Goatman: First, Shakur has a sort of resentful partnership with Tachyon at times. Second, and more importantly, Goatman represents death, a timer that could run out at any time. It just so happens that Tachyon has a condition that makes it so her legs could, at any time, give in without warning. :)
In Grace lore, Ire represents anger and holding grudges, which I'd say is quite fitting of Grass. (this is also one of my favorite designs)
I don't have that good a reason for why I chose Special Week to be slugfish, I really just chose her based on vibes. I mean, she is a glutton and uhhh... agemasen.
Carnation represents misinformation, which is Sei's whole thing basically. Plus, I think the flower and cloud aesthetics work well together. There is a little more to this, and that's Sei's career story, so Umafied Carnation also somewhat represents lying to yourself (this will come up later).
Okay, okay, I know. I know what Mime represents. And I knew I would never be able to find an uma matching that, so I settled for the next best thing: the uma who gets the most touchy with Shakur.
Zen is... well, just a peaceful area for you to run around in. And I think that nobody deserves that more than Haru Urara.
Now, since Sin is the only entity in Zen, it has to relate to Urara. I specifically chose Narita Brian because she is the beast in the shadows, one of the most powerful umas ever, who has an unstoppable desire to run. You know who else has an unstoppable desire to run? Haru Urara. Also, there's the juxtaposition of the worst uma against one of the best umas: No matter how hard she tries, Haru Urara will never outpace Narita Brian.
Okay, so Narita Brian was actually my SECOND choice for Sin. My first thought was actually Halo (mostly because of vibes). I liked Halo Sin so much that I decided Halo could still have a role, just not as Sin.
Since I chose different umas to be the sinners in each gamemode, I figured I'd have unique doppels for each applicable gamemode. I chose Sunday Silence to be Shakur's doppel since, well, Sunday Silence is Shakur's sire, and I've heard that IRL Shakur's behaviour was very much like his father. I also chose Sunday Silence because of the theory that Cafe's "friend" is Sunday Silence, so yeah.
By this point, I already had most of the Reprieve entities decided, so I figured it'd be best to decide a sinner based on the Reprieve entities. Specifically, we have pride, peer pressure, being wronged by others, rage (is what I thought at the time), and, most of all, shame. The best Uma I could think of to fit all this was Mejiro Mcqueen. She's prideful, she tries to live up the Mejiro name (and is very shameful when it doesn't work out!), and, of course, Rue is Rice Shower. Enough said.
Given my choices for the Grace Doppel and Reprieve Sinner, it should be pretty obvious why I chose Gold Ship, aka the grandson of BOTH McQueen and Sunday Silence. In Umamusume, Golshi also loves messing with McQueen, so there's that.
This is one of the more random choices on this list, but trust me, I have my reasons. First of all, Hayahide is portrayed as the big final villian in Season 2, when Teio is trying to win the Arima Kinen for McQueen. Second, Hayahide deals with quite a lot of shame, and not just with her head.
